Musically Turner is inspired by 90s lo fi and wanting to make something that encompasses elements of new wave experimentation, along with simplistic song writing and catchy riffs complimented by goofy and clever lyrics. Lyrically, Turner borrows lines from Dave Dudley's "Six Days on the Road" to describe the life of an ice rink manager whose livelihood and personality have been consumed by work.
